Journalism and Mass Communication
This Course provides in-depth knowledge and understanding of mass media by working professionals and expert academicians. Course Objective
The Radio and TV Journalism Studies at MERIT is an interdisciplinary program that combines courses in Radio, Television, New Media, Digital Media and Social Media.

Mr. Arunesh Kumar
Mr. Arunesh Kumar is a Media professional with 10 years of experience in Radio and TV news industry and academia. He is UGC NET and SLET (Maharastra & Goa) qualified. Prior to joining Sharda University, he has worked as Asst. Professor, Mass Media at Jamia Millia Islamia, IIMC New Delhi and Mangalayatan University Aligarh. Before academics, he has worked in ETV, Zee News, CNEB and IBN7 as Producer in Output desk. He is also associated with the News Services Division of All India Radio on a casual basis.
Mr. Santosh Kumar
Mr. Santosh Kumar is a well known journalist and columnist. He is a winner of Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism award. He has worked with India Today. Mr Santosh has done a series of cover stories and interviewed eminent political personalities in the country. Currently he is working with Dainik Bhaskar as a Deputy Editor. Experience: 13 Years Qualification: Masters Degree in Mass Communication and Journalism
Mr. Chandan Jajware
Mr. Chandan Jajware has expertise in field reporting. He has a strong hold in political reporting. At present, he is associated with News 18 India. He is also an expert of Railway affairs. Experience: 10 Years of field reporting experience Qualification: Masters degree in Mass Communication and journalism.
Mr. Khalil Hashmi
Mr. Hashami is working as a Correspondent for a Japanese Leading Daily Newspaper since 2007. He is experienced in covering a wide range of issues such as Sri Lankan crisis in 2009, Rohingya crisis since 2012, the Kashmir issue, Tibetan issue, Terrorism in South East Asia and Indian Political and social issues. Mr. Hashmi has a special interest in Martial Arts and Yoga. He holds Three Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo and Two Degree Black Belt in Kung fu. Mr. Hashmi has a remarkable interest in Theatre and plays specially Third World Theatre. He participated in more than hundred street plays and stage shows during his academic years. Mr. Rajnish Ranjan Pandey is an alumnus of Jamia Millia Islamia and BHU.
